No Ivy League Newsletter: No Ivy Day Special Edition

This newsletter is prepared and distributed by the Ivy Removal
Project AKA the No Ivy League. Information about our project can be
obtained by using either of our two domain names:
      http://www.IvyRemovalProject.org
      http://www.NoIvyLeague.com
No Ivy Day: May 6, 2006

No Ivy Summit Sam is lending a hand! Portland City Commissioner Sam
Adams is the Honorary Chair for No Ivy Day 2006!

Vine Madness! This year's theme tells ivy that we're just not going
      to take it anymore!

Sight that site! Many partners have selected their sites for this
year's event that grows in numbers of sites and in impact each year.
Now's the time to decide where to rescue trees and make ivy tremble
      in fear!!

Oops! We changed web site hosts and are on a steep learning curve
regarding smooth uploading of revisions, additions, and updates to
the No Ivy League web site. Thanks for your patience as we're a
little slow posting the May 6th No Ivy Day 2006 information on the No
Ivy League website. We hope to have 2006 information posted no later
      than next week.

But! Most of the organizing details and event information is the
same this year as last because our partners, site coordination, and
event volunteers have worked hard with us to develop a sustainable
      formula. Check this out:
      http://www.noivyleague.com/Pages/no_ivy_2005.html

However! Partners and site coordinators need to specify their sites
for this year and update, as needed, their contact information. We'd
plan to post all sites and partners by April 1st so that April can be
dedicated to promotion and publicity efforts.

Of course! There's always "room" for more public and private
partners, coordinated sites, and great ideas. If you like to be a
first time partner or site coordinator, just check out the
information on how to be a partner or site coordinator under the No
      Ivy Day 2005 information.

Volunteer Recruitment! All of us are recruiting volunteers for No
Ivy Day but we're putting much more emphasis on recruiting groups
this year. So in addition to referring individuals to out partners
and site coordinators, we'll also be referring groups.

Is there more? Oh, yes! There is more information and communication
coming soon but this brief special edition is reaffirming dates and
basic details while we ironing out the web site uploading kinks.

Do you have time and talent to share? We have something perfect for
you! Check us out because we need you!! 503-823-3681 or
      mail at ivyremovalproject.org

Please feel free to forward this to any individual, group,
organization, or list that you think will be interested in its
      contents.
