The Center for Invasive Plant Management (CIPM) announces its 2006 research
grant program.  Grants are available in several categories (seed money,
information synthesis and assessment, and decision-making).  Projects must
focus on plants and issues that are problematic in the West, although the
research can be conducted anywhere in the U.S. Proposal deadline is March
10. For more information, see

A Request for Proposals has also been posted at this site for Cooperative
Weed Management Areas in the West. This year's focus is prevention and
early detection. Deadline is March 6.
