1. Position Available: Vegetation Management Coordinator/ Invasive Plant
Atlas of New England (IPANE)
Coordinator (New England Wild Flower Society)

Chris Mattrick, long-time invasive plant specialist with the New England
Wild Flower Society and indefatigable IPANE
Volunteer Coordinator, is leaving NEWFS for a new position with the U.S.
Forest Service in the White Mountains.
NEWFS is accepting applications for from those interested in the position.
(Chris, we will miss you!!!)
Responsibilities for this full time, permanent position include:
·        Design management plans and implement vegetation management to
control invasive plants and/or to
·        benefit rare plant species.
·        Oversee NEWFS initiatives for IPANE including the recruitment,
training and maintenance of IPANE
·        volunteers and associated databases.
·        Assist in training and maintenance of Plant Conservation Volunteer
(PCV) Corps.
·        Assume staff responsibility for management of NEWFS Sanctuaries.
·        Collaborate with other NEWFS departments to develop educational
interpretation, develop print and web-
·        based informational resources, make formal and informal
presentations, teach courses, and write articles.
·        Help procure funding for the above activities.
