RE: Allelopathic effects of ANY plants.
Yes, it is probably true that Honeysuckle has allelopathic effects on
other plants, and there's a scientific journal where papers are
published on that effect, the JOURNAL OF CHEMICAL ECOLOGY.
The Journal of Chemical Ecology published the first paper where a group
of researchers were able to separate out the allelochemical effects of a
plant from other competitive effects, like shading out or robbing of
soil-moisture---the two papers written by Dr. Liu et al in 1994 and 1995
on the allelopathic effects of cereal barley.
