</b>Reintroductions and other types of conservation translocations are increasingly used to recover rare plants when in situ conservation measures fail to adequately protect a species. Hundreds of reintroductions with rare plants, including many federally listed
species, are currently underway throughout the United States, and being compiled and synthesized in a database maintained by the Center for Plant Conservation. This talk examines reintroduction projects in the database to understand how species characteristics,
management techniques, and site conditions influence different metrics of reintroduction success. The implications of the results for best practices in rare plant reintroduction will also be discussed.</span></p>

Sustainable Development. His current research focuses on the conservation of rare species and restoration of degraded ecosystems in the Midwest and Southeastern United States. He works closely with governmental and non-governmental agencies to apply his research
findings to support science-based decision-making.</span></p>
