Interested in collecting and storing seeds from native plants in your garden but don’t know where to start? Join inveterate seed collectors, Minnette Marr, Conservation Botanist, and Andrew McNeil-Marshall, Biologist, as they share best practices for collecting and processing native plant seeds that are not commercially available. Topics will include methods for harvesting different kinds of fruits such as berries, capsules, drupes and nuts from native plants, how to repurpose kitchen utensils to process wild-collected seeds and a comparison of conservation efforts with orthodox and recalcitrant seeds.
