What will you learn?
This webinar highlights practical tools and guidance for assessing and accounting for nature-based solutions from protected and conserved areas. Participants will be introduced to the Protected Area Benefits Assessment Tool<https://portals.iucn.org/library/node/49081>, a cost-effective, participatory approach to identifying economic and non-economic benefits derived from area-based conservation, and how to use it with individual sites. The webinar will conclude with a discussion on recommendations for a more consistent reporting mechanism<https://parksjournal.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/10.2305-IUCN.CH_.2021.PARKS-27-2SS.en-Stolton-et-al.pdf> for benefits, which could help with a range of reporting from funding reports to targets under the new Global Biodiversity Framework.
