[RWG] GRANT ANNOUNCEMENT: $10 Million Available for Great Lakes Habitat Restoration; Proposals Due January 12, 2022

NOAA is announcing the availability of up to $10 million in Great Lakes Restoration Initiative funding to continue the work restoring habitat for Great Lakes native fisheries. NOAA is seeking proposals for projects that restore Great Lakes habitats, helping to strengthen ecosystems and fisheries, benefit local economies, and support resilient communities. Proposals are due January 12, 2022.

Projects selected through this funding opportunity will help sustain the multiple benefits these resources provide by:

  *   Supporting valuable fisheries and coastal resources
  *   Improving the quality of our water by restoring coastal wetlands
  *   Providing recreational opportunities for the public’s use and enjoyment
  *   Increasing the resilience of Great Lakes communities
