Subject: Ecological Restoration, Design and Planning Workshop

*The Santa Barbara Botanic Garden is pleased to present a special workshop*

*Project Planning and Management for Ecological Restoration*

Ecological restoration encompasses a vast array of techniques, tools and
methods. No two restoration projects are ever the same, and an
understanding of procedures and the issues associated with decision making
are critical to success. The emphasis of this workshop is on process and
analysis rather than on specific techniques and tools. By providing a
strong foundation in project management and planning that addresses the
major phases of ecological restoration projects, attendees will come away
with the necessary skills to address most of the issues and challenges of
conducting a restoration project and an understanding of how to chart a
path that will enhance the likelihood of a successful project.

A 3-day workshop taught by John Rieger and John Stanley, co-authors (with
Ray Traynor) of *Project Planning and Management for Ecological Restoration*.
Workshop fee includes a copy of the book.

September 11-13, Thurs-Sat 8:30 am- 5:00 pm

$550 members, $600 nonmembers
