[RWG] Weed update and more weed/native plant paintings

Dear All,

Hope you are enjoying the holidays.

An update on the exsitu test plots out here in California--100% kill of
the weed seedlings using native straw mulch--all the weed seeds that
sprouted in the last two months are dead.  And next week, going to sow
some native seeds, and keep some pots unplanted to see if any native seeds
pop up on their own that were still in the soil, underneath the weeds.

Also, added two new paintings of weed/native plants at
http://www.ecoseeds.com/art.html and also a painting of native Sea oats
growing along the coast of an island in Georgia, from the artist Alene
Holdahl (1917-1988) whose work I found out here in California a few months
ago.
