Dear Olivia and All,

Thanks for your note about the revegetation using native plants for
roadsides survey.

I took the survey, but it just underlines the fact that the Federal
government really, really needs to spend hundreds of millions on test
plots, like what I show at http://www.ecoseeds.com/greatbasin.html so
that the roadside native plant projects will become successful at the
end of the day, not like the $ 1/2 million spent fumbling around on two
acres at http://www.ecoseeds.com/road.test.html

When I was teaching classes in 2000, on using natives for roadsides here
in California for our State DOT, the need for test plot data was
staggering, so much so, that I compiled the 228 questions that the
Caltrans planners landscape architects, and maintenance people need,
just so they could get started using native plants along the roadsides,
at http://www.ecoseeds.com/questions.html
