<p style="background-color: white; margin: 0in;"><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 9.5pt; color: rgb(34, 34, 34);">Within McKenzie Ranger District, serves as the district Botanist providing technical expert assistance in matters dealing
with threatened, endangered and sensitive plant species, plant community and vegetation management and spatial data management of these resources. Coordinates management of botanical resources on internal and external projects and participates on interdisciplinary
teams. Prepares or reviews biological evaluations for sensitive plant species. Prepares environmental assessments and environmental impact statements affecting </span></p>
<p style="background-color: white; margin: 0in;"><span style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 9.5pt; color: rgb(34, 34, 34);">botanical resources and reviews reports drafted by third party contractors. Develops and recommends alternative, preventative
or mitigative actions to protect botanical resources. Monitors effects of Grassland Land and Resources Management Plan implementation on plant communities and interprets trends where management emphasis changes, including grazing and fire programs. Provides
input into planning efforts on ecosystem restoration. Work involves coordination with outside entities including grazing associations, county/state weed managers, and other permit holders on the unit. Coordinates with federal, state and academic researchers
regarding specific research efforts and needed permits for the unit. Provides evaluation assistance for revegetation activities on NFS lands conducted by non-Forest Service entities. </span></p>
