Department of Plant Science and Landscape Architecture (PSLA)
invites
applications for a 12-month non-tenure track position of
Research Associate who
will serve as the Curator of the Norton-Brown Herbarium at the
University of
Maryland, College Park campus.<span style=""> </span>The
effective start date is no later than July 1, 2011. </span>

<span style="font-size: 9pt;">The
University of Maryland, College Park, MD, is a Land Grant
institution with
research and extension components located in suburban
Washington, DC and the
Chesapeake Bay watershed. The 1300-acre campus has excellent
research libraries
and Metrorail access to national and international research
institutions and archives,
non-profit organizations, government agencies, and significant
cultural landmarks.
There are excellent opportunities for collaborative engagement
with colleagues
in plant systematics, ecology, and evolution throughout the
University and the
region. </span>

to increase relevancy of the herbarium on campus and to agencies
and the
