<st1:PlaceType w:st="on">Botanical Garden</st1:PlaceType></st1:place> invites
applicants for a full-time six-month seasonal internship. This internship is
intended for individuals pursuing conservation biology or ecology as a career,
and is ideally suited for individuals considering graduate school next year.
Interns will work on a variety of field and laboratory related projects with
threatened and endangered plants, including demographic monitoring, seed
collecting, and controlled laboratory experiments. Approximately 65% of the
intern’s work is conducted out-of-town/overnight in the lower Midwest (<st1:State
w:st="on">Missouri</st1:State>, <st1:State w:st="on">Arkansas</st1:State>, <st1:State
w:st="on">Kentucky</st1:State>, and <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:State w:st="on">Tennessee</st1:State></st1:place>).
Travel expenses associated with field work will be paid for by the <st1:place
w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Missouri</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType
w:st="on">Botanical Garden</st1:PlaceType></st1:place>. The rest of the time
will be spent at the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Missouri</st1:PlaceName>
<st1:PlaceType w:st="on">Botanical Garden</st1:PlaceType></st1:place> entering
data, processing seed samples, maintaining laboratory experiments, and
performing <i><span style='font-style:italic'>ex situ</span></i> conservation
activities. Internships are available for 24 weeks. Applicants MUST be able to
