<BR>It could not have come at a better time. I am planning a symposium specifically to promote discussion between "gardeners" and conservationists. This week I need to talk to potential sponsors. 

<BR>This on-line discussion really illustrates the need for communication between the two groups. As conservationists we seem to "preach to the choir" to often and as gardeners we do not always grasp the full implications of planting decisions. Sniping at each other is counterproductive for both groups. Promoting education about species interrelationships and the need to protect diversity can only be in the best interest of all of us.
