*Duties:

the SRS RWU-4159 (Southern Pine Ecology and Management) is seeking motivated, high-performing candidates for an exciting new research scientist position (either as a Research Ecologist or Research Wildlife Biologist) with a Monticello, Arkansas duty station.  This position will largely focus on the upland pine- and pine-hardwood forests of the southern US and how management activities, natural disturbances, climate change, and/or other natural and anthropogenic impacts may affect wildlife populations…and how wildlife influences forests.



This outreach notice is being circulated to inform potential candidates of a future possible job opportunity, to gauge level of interest, and to help the deciding official to determine an optimal way in filling the unit's staffing needs.  Note that this is not the actual job announcement—that will occur later and will be posted to the federal government’s employment opportunities website www.usajobs.gov.
