*Overview: Full-Time/Term

*Duties:
 Plans, coordinates, and executes the technical phases of the forest planting and seeding programs, including the inventory of plantable areas and the timber stand improvement program, prescribing cutting practices based on an examination of stand conditions or other resource requirements.
Collaborates and coordinates with employees of Federal and state governments, local officials, and private organizations or landowners who are affected by the forest land management practices and problems and provides technical assistance on mutual reforestation problems.
Plans, coordinates, and executes proposed and ongoing timber sale and preparation programs to prevent loss of timber productivity and damage to the environment based on an on the ground inventory of sample plots and stands, maps, and aerial resource photography.
Provides for protection of water retention capacity of the soil and reestablishment of the forest growth to prevent or minimize soil erosion damage.

*Locations:
Duty Location: One vacancy will be filled at the Errol, NH location. An additional vacancy may be filled at either the Errol, NH location or at an agency office in Cambridge, MD; Suffolk, VA; or Warsaw, VA.
