*Overview: Permanent, Full Time
This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief of Operations, U.S. Botanic Garden (USBG), Learning and Engagement (L&E) Division. The selectee serves as a Project Manager for exhibit and interpretation development and educational initiatives.  The selectee is responsible for facilitating communication between stakeholders, creating and tracking timelines, and ensuring deliverables are on time to keep projects moving forward, within cost and on schedule.

*Duties:
Project Management

Provides oversight of projects within the responsibility of the L&E Division such as exhibit development, L&E initiatives and and/or USBG-wide projects that include significant input from L&E.

Schedules and coordinates meetings with contractors, L&E employees, USBG employees and internal and external stakeholders.

Collaborates with Learning and Engagement Manager, Chief of Learning and Outreach, Chief of Visitor Services and Visual Information Specialist to create and manage reasonable and actionable project timelines, ensuring deliverables are generated and reviews are conducted in a timely manner to keep the project moving forward.

Manages project communication with all project stakeholders; Communicates and collaborates with internal stakeholders in the AOC and USBG, including USBG Leadership and the Administration, Horticulture, Operations and L&E divisions of the USBG.

Problem solves to quickly identify and resolve issues and develops and implements action plans to improve project execution; Identifies, proposes and implements resolutions for potential conflicts in work schedule, space use and division and resource use and organization.

Collaborates with coworkers and management to resolve conflicts; Identifies and proposes solutions to project needs, as well as cost-savings and efficient use of resources.

*Compensation: GS 11; $78,592 - $102,166 per year
