Forwarding on behalf of Molly McCormick. Apologies for cross-postings.

A reminder to please contribute to the National Seed Strategy progress report by submitting new projects & forwarding to colleagues. Many thanks to those who have already submitted something and pardon any cross-postings! You are receiving this as someone who either contributed to the National Seed Strategy 5-year report in 2020 or belong to the RAMPS email list. This report uniquely captures progress and challenges for seed and plant-based restoration. We need to include your experiences! Thanks.

The Plant Conservation Alliance (PCA) Federal Committee is seeking information from federal agencies on projects in FY21 (October 1, 2020 – September 31, 2021) that are related to the goals of the National Seed Strategy: increase the availability of diverse native plants needed for restoration, address research and technology gaps, develop tools for land managers, and enhance collaboration to foster more efficient management of our national native seed supply.

The National Seed Strategy for Rehabilitation and Restoration (2015) was developed by 12 federal agencies and 300+ cooperators of the Plant Conservation Alliance (PCA) to address widespread shortages of native plant materials. Gauging progress is a key component of the Strategy, and since it’s release in 2015, two progress reports have been published: Making Progress (2018) & 2015-2020 Progress Report (2021). Support for the National Seed Strategy is growing rapidly. We need your help in tracking progress in FY21 and maintaining this positive momentum.
