Responsibilities:

  *   Review recommendations and data input from Field Offices on ecological issues. May also provide guidance and quality control of projects and products of less senior specialists.
  *   Perform on-the-ground investigations of complex ecological and botanical conditions in support of botanical and other resource projects.
  *   Participate in interagency wildlife and habitat management, inventory, and monitoring projects. Formulate strategies to recover, mitigate, or monitor impacts.
  *   Serve on interdisciplinary teams to write and review aquatic biological input to Environmental Assessments, Environmental Impact Statements, Section 7 Biological Assessments, and development of protective stipulations and Resource Management Plans.
  *   Carry out inventory and monitoring of subsistence wildlife populations and habitat conditions and monitoring of non-game wildlife habitat and conditions.
