*Position: Botanist



*Position Summary:

  *   Serves as the principal coordinator for botany programs and activities on Northern Region National Forests and Grasslands, and with other Federal, State, and private agencies and organizations.
  *   Provides expertise and consultation for the development of management programs for threatened, endangered, and sensitive (TES) plants and native plant materials.
  *   Serves as principal liaison for the regional Botany Program with internal and external groups and individuals concerning goals, objectives, and planning activities.
  *   Reviews new or revised policy directives, and develops interpretation and standards for implementation and compliance by regional units.
  *   Provides technical assistance, training, and direction to regional units in application and integration of TES plant management principles with other resource management activities.



*Location: Missoula, MT
