What will you learn?
Join a conversation about the work of two scientists researching crops and their wild relatives, as USBG celebrates women in science during Women’s History Month. Plant science research helps identify solutions to feed a growing world population and address agricultural contributions to climate change. Allison will discuss her research on perennial crops and their wild relatives including American native grapes, their importance for the wine industry, and her lab’s efforts to identify wild plants that have the greatest potential for sustainable agriculture. Tara will share her work combining crop wild relatives, public education, and agricultural research to address climate change and sustainability issues.
