BGCI is keen to support botanic gardens to further their involvement in ecological restoration through the Ecological Restoration Alliance of Botanic Gardens (ERA). We are seeking feedback from botanical institutions who are not currently ERA members as a way of gathering more information on the kind of support services botanic institutions need to further their engagement in restoration.

Conservation has long been a focus of the work of many botanic gardens but with more and more land becoming damaged, degraded or destroyed, ecological restoration is becoming an ever more a prominent element of our work. Botanical institutions, like yours hold many of the existing skills and assets to support action under the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration. We invite you to join us and share your ideas about engaging in ecological restoration and taking action towards halting the decline of our ecosystems.

This survey is part of an MSc thesis and will be open for two weeks only. Please contribute your responses by Wednesday 4th August 2021. The survey should only take 10-15 minutes to complete and we really value your feedback.
