*Position: Natural Resources Specialist

*Responsibilities:
The incumbent performs work in planning, coordinating, and implementing the Field Office's vegetative/botany, range and soils programs within the framework of multiple-use land management.
- Responsible for planning, resource monitoring and program accomplishment in the areas of botanical and soils resources, as well as rangeland management.
- Provides input to botanical threatened and endangered species plans proposed by other resource programs to ensure that detrimental effects are eliminated or adequately mitigated.
- Independently plans and carries out intensive investigations into complex vegetative, soils and rangeland management program concerns.
- Prepares and/or updates the botanical/vegetative, range and soils portions of land use plans, and participates in the preparation and review of land use and activity plans, environmental impacts statements, and environmental assessments.

*Location: Palm Springs, CA
