Native Plant Conservation Campaign News: Enjoy Doug Tallamy’s popular “Nature’s Best Hope” presentation online

April 11, 2020

It's spring and we all wish we were out there!

NPCC Advisor Doug Tallamy has used his books and presentations <http://www.bringingnaturehome.net/> to convert thousands to “one of the great conservation movements of our time” <https://ymlpmail2.net/imgz/09yp_TheoPayneFoundationGarden.jpg> - gardening with locally adapted native plants!

Doug has generously shared with the NPCC a video of a recent presentation <https://vimeo.com/396957344> . Please enjoy it as you shelter in place and plan your post- quarantine native plant garden!

Native plant gardens help local wildlife and support vital ecosystem services such as water purification, storm protection, and climate moderation. Tallamy has a new book and presentation, "Nature’s Best Hope", which describe advances in our understanding of how individual homeowners can help fight the extinction and climate crises and save the planet…all by gardening with beautiful local natives!

The NPCC would like to offer more opportunities for native plant-focused online activities, entertainment and education. If you have videos or slide shows, that you are willing to share, of

*	wildflower presentations
*	field trips
*	native plant classes
*	workshops or trainings
*	etc.

please <mailto:emilyr at plantsocieties.org?subject=Online%20Native%20Plant%20Videos> let us know and we will make make them available to the native plant community!
