*Overview: National Wildlife Federation IS seeking an Executive Director to
collaborate with the NvWF board of directors to strengthen the organization
and position the NvWF as a leading and influential wildlife advocacy
organization in Nevada. The role will involve programmatic leadership
focused on advocacy for wildlife and habitat conservation while building a
base of conservationists across the state by engaging people in Nevada’s
outdoor heritage; fundraising, financial, and communications leadership to
ensure the organization is on sound financial footing and both visible and
well-respected in Nevada; and organizational administration and management
to strengthen the operational efficiency of the organization.



*Position:  Executive Director for the Nevada Wildlife Federation.



*Location: This position will ideally be based in Las Vegas, or Reno /
Carson City, with other locations considered.



*Compensation: Salary is commensurate with experience, in the range of
$60,000 to $70,000 per year, and is negotiable. Benefits offered include
health insurance, paid vacation and sick time, and paid holidays.



*Who may apply: Desired Qualifications:



Skills and experience in nonprofit conservation advocacy, organizational
leadership, management, communications, and fundraising.

An understanding of conservation, public lands, sporting, and wildlife
issues in Nevada.

Highly motivated, self-directed, and capable of exercising sound,
independent judgment.

Demonstrated ability in leading people and working collaboratively with a
diverse set of constituents and stakeholders for the achievement of common
goals.

Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle complex
situations; strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple
priorities/activities, delegate effectively, and motivate others.

Skills necessary for successful fundraising and financial management,
including identifying, developing, and sustaining new sources of financial
support, preparing budgets and financial reports, and working with a board
of directors.

Strong public speaking and writing skills, and ability to effectively
communicate with a wide range of audiences, including the media.

Proficient with technology applications and basic office systems.

Willingness and ability to travel frequently to attend meetings/events,
including evenings and weekends as necessary.

Fluency in Spanish is ideal, but not required.
