efforts to incorporate native plants into drought contingency plants in the

Reclamation's FY 2020/2021 WaterSMART Drought Response Program: Drought
Contingency Planning Grants Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) was
posted to grants.gov yesterday afternoon.

Under the Drought Contingency Planning FOA, applicants can request up to
$200K to develop to develop a new drought plan or to update an existing
drought plan in two years. There is a cost-share waiver available under
exceptional/limited circumstances (see C.2. in the FOA).

Eligible applicants include states, tribes, irrigation districts, water
districts, and other organizations with water or power delivery authority
in Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska,
Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas,
Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. In addition, applicants must also
participate in a Reclamation technical consultation prior to submission of
an application.

DEADLINE: Applications are accepted through Wednesday February 5, 2020 at
4pm MST for FY20 funding.  The FOA will be updated in early 2020 with the
FY21 application submission deadline.
