Have you ever been stuck as you work on a project and say, “If only we had
the data”? Do you need wall to wall, landscape scale, ecological/biological
data? Have you heard about LANDFIRE, the DOI 2017 Environmental Achievement
Award Dream Team winner, and thought, “That’s just a fire data set”?

Please join the Office of Policy Analysis on September 10 for a panel that
will share details and demonstrate that LANDFIRE has wildland fire data but
is much more than just fire data. The panel will describe the
interagency/interdepartmental approach to the product suite, innovations
that are changing conservation, and highlight a variety of applications of
the spatial and non-spatial data. The presentation will illustrate its
proven success and its potential to improve the efficiency and
effectiveness of management decision making across the U.S. For more
