*Have you Checked your Trees Lately? A Routine Check-up of Trees Saves
Lives & Property Webinar date/time: June 26, 2018 1:00 pm US/Eastern
Duration: 1 hour What will you learn? Trees provide significant benefits to
our homes and communities, but they may also become liabilities when they
fall or break apart, causing property damage, personal injuries, and power
outages. Learn how to inspect trees by identifying 7 of the most common
structural tree defects that often result in failures. While trees provide
significant benefits to our homes and communities, they may also become
liabilities when they fall or break apart, causing property damage,
personal injuries, and power outages. Although some tree failures are
unpredictable and cannot be prevented, others can be detected with regular
tree inspections and remediated. Participants will learn how to recognize 7
of the most common structural tree defects that often result in failures.
Extension personnel will be prepared to teach tree owners how to conduct
basic inspections. Presenter(s): Dr. Robert Polomski - Clemson Extension
Specialist, Horticulture/Adjunct Assistant Professor, Department of Plant &
Environmental Sciences, Clemson University No pre-registration
