*Botanist / Ecologist *Deadline: 07/31/2018 *Overview: The incumbent serves
as the Regional National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)
Botanist/Ecologist, overseeing for the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) the
use of native plant materials in management projects across the Great
Basin. Coordinates various actions dealing with the management and
restoration of native plants in the Great Basin for the BLM. Ensures
coordination and consistency of restoration/conservation activities and
programs, including adequate NEPA analysis, native plant materials
collection and development related to specific projects, and native plant
management and restoration within and among the Great Basin states of
Nevada, California, Idaho, Oregon and Utah. Coordinates the development or
compilation of ecoregional direction, assessments and strategies for NEPA
projects in the Great Basin. Coordinates activities with the various
external entities working with native plants on the Great Basin. Ensures
that planning documents and strategies developed are consistent with
national and state initiatives and priorities for the Department of the
Interior and BLM. *Position:  Botanist / Ecologist *Location: Reno, Nevada.
