*From Science to Action: Evidence-Based Programs for Nature & Health
Communities Webinar date/time: Mar 28, 2018 1:00 pm US/Eastern Duration: 1
hour What will you learn? The evidence about nearby nature and human health
response is extensive, and we continue to learn more. Communities are now
working to translate that evidence to community-based, outdoor programs to
promote human wellness. The science about nearby nature and human health
response has been growing for decades. Local governments agencies, the
private sector, and NGOs are acting on the evidence, creating programs for
human health benefits. Extension Agents can help support program
development and best practices. This webinar will start with a presentation
of nature and health program examples, then open the webinar to discussion
and Q&A about science to program translations. Presenter(s): Dr. Kathleen
Wolf - Research Social Scientist, College of the Environment, University of
Washington, and Research Associate with USDA Forest Service Pacific NW
Research Station on research program about Human Dimensions of Urban
Forestry and Urban Greening No Pre-registration required. If you have not
