[PCA] Grasslands LIVE! and Pastizales en VIVO - una Aventura de Aprendizaje

Hola Everyone,

In addition to the GrasslandsLIVE! Distance Learning Adventure, our Prince William Network partners also produced a 30-minute Spanish-language program,  Pastizales en VIVO!, live from the Pawnee National Grasslands.  The FS and PWN worked with our Americas for Conservation + Arts partners and Descubre el Bosque team to create a strong social media program to push surrounding  both GrasslandsLIVE! and Pastizales en VIVO! and traditional media push through Spanish-language media outlets in order to promote the Spanish-language Pastizales en VIVO! Una Aventura de Aprendizaje, with target audiences in the US, Mexico and Latin America.

The FS is grateful to our PWN and AFCA partners for their efforts in helping to reach Latino audiences with meaningful and relevant programming and information that can transform the future of conservation leadership among diverse communities throughout the US and Latin America.

Please share the following link with your Latino community contacts for archived versions of programs from Chihuahua, MX and the Pawnee National Grasslands and for more information in Spanish about the program and related resources.

CBS showed a 1 hour feature called Grasslands LIVE! on TV last week that had over 80,000 viewers.   Here is the 1 hour video of Grasslands LIVE!  It was filmed on the Pawnee National Grassland in coordination with the USDA Forest Service and various sponsors:  http://denver.cbslocal.com/video/category/news/3668796-grasslands-live/  Native plants are so important to the National Grasslands that I thought the PCA would be interested in this.

Research Ecologist Brice Hanberry and Wildlife Biologist Brian Dickerson from our Rocky Mountain Research Station's Rapid City Lab were invited  to engage in the Q&A session with students and they spent 3 hours answering questions online.  The Q&A will be posted online at the Grasslands LIVE! Website https://grasslandslive.org/.  This website explains more about the organizations and purpose of Grasslands LIVE!
