focus on plant genetics, seed science and restoration ecology research. The
position is a postdoctoral position at the GS-11 level.

DUTY STATION: RMRS Aquatic Sciences Laboratory, 322 E. Front Street, Suite
401, Boise, Idaho 83702. Interested candidates can visit the Great Basin
Native Plant Project website at http://greatbasinnpp.org, or the Grassland,

research projects in the field and lab, write and publish peer-reviewed
papers in scientific journals, develop science delivery materials for use
by users and customers, and coordinate agreements with cooperators for the
Great Basin Native Plant Project (GBNPP), a collaborative effort between
the RMRS Grasslands, Shrublands, and Deserts Science Program and the Bureau

researchers and land managers in developing sound management and successful
restoration practices in the face of threats from invasive species,
shifting fire regimes, and rapid climate change through a focus on native
plant genetics, seeding technology, and restoration techniques. Excellent
communication and organizational skills are expected, as is a working
knowledge of the biological sciences, particularly plant ecology and/or
genetics. The researcher will be expected to prepare reports, publications,

sufficient emphasis on genetics. Undergraduate and graduate courses dealing
with genetics, some phase of genetics, or specific techniques that are
applied in genetics work are acceptable. This includes courses in genetics,
plant genetics, molecular and cellular biology, mathematics and statistics
(as they apply to genetics), population dynamics, and evolution. Course
work consisting of an appropriate combination of basic courses in genetics
