One place I would reach out to is Maryland University of Integrative  
health (formerly Tai Sophia). They have an interest in herbarium  
collections, preserving that type of resource, they do not have a lot  
of funding but perhaps have others to reach out to. Also, Dr. James  
Duke, Green Farmacy may have some ideas. He was a botanist with USDA  
for 30+ years. Lastly, if the Director were able to develop a quick  
proposal of how their herbarium collection could benefit the herbal  
supplements industry, there is a chance they could raise partial  
funding from the sector. Industry needs access to authentic botanical  
materials for testing. Those are a few quick ideas.
