*Deputy Associate Director for Climate and Land Use:* USGS is recruiting a
Deputy Associate Director for the Office of Climate and Land Use (CLU)
Headquarters in Reston, VA. (This is the mission area that houses the
National Climate Change and Wildlife Science Center!) This individual will
provide program development and management, science leadership and
collaboration, and strategic planning.

*Science Communications Coordinator in Alaska:*The Western Alaska Landscape
Conservation Cooperative (LCC) is looking for a scientist who excels in
taking scientific results to new places. This new GS-9, three-year term
position, based in Anchorage, Alaska, is co-funded by the Alaska CSC and
the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. The Science Communications Coordinator
will engage with a variety of research projects on coastal climate change
to identify the key findings and produce materials to bring that
information to decision makers and the public.

*Postdoc Research Opportunity on Species Adaptive Capacity to Climate
Change:* An exciting postdoctoral research opportunity on species adaptive
capacity to climate change is available with Dr. Erik A. Beever at the USGS
Northern Rocky Mountain Science Center on the Montana State University
campus. The successful applicant will draw from diverse literatures and
interactions with scientists, resource managers, and other conservation
stakeholders to identify knowledge gaps and management needs with regard to
adaptive capacity. This project is a collaborative effort with the National
Climate Change and Wildlife Science Center.
