This newsletter focuses on Florida, the nation's No. 3 hotspot for
critically imperiled plant diversity. The special edition was a collaboration
of the Center for Plant Conservation (CPC), the University of Missouri
School of Journalism and College of Agriculture Food and Natural Resources .

" In 2013, five University of Missouri journalism students traveled from
the Florida Keys to the Panhandle and met with more than 30 botanists,
other scientists and conservation workers along the way. The goal was to
learn about why Florida is so biologically diverse and what is being done
to protect the imperiled native plants. The students then created content
for this special CPC newsletter (attached)."
