Hello,
Recently we, the Pennsylvania Botany Planning Committee, have opened registration for the 2nd biennial Pennsylvania Botany Symposium this November 7-8. We're contacting you because this unique weekend event may fill an educational need for you and your employees, co-workers and other colleagues.
This symposium is the product of individuals from a variety of Pennsylvania botanical institutions and plant conservation organizations who have come together to provide funding, content, and support for a much-needed hub for botanical communication, training, and news in the commonwealth.
This is a non-commercial effort and these associated persons are volunteering time to help organize professional activities and networking opportunities for botanists working in Pennsylvania and the region, and for all who are interested in the botany of this area.
Please use this form at http://eepurl.com/2n2Br to join our mailing list. Please share your organization's name (affiliation) in that message. It is very important to us that you receive future messages about PA Botany Symposium and future botany workshops only if you wish, and you can unsubscribe at any time. When you've completed your form to subscribe, please also add these to your address book to insure that you receive our messages:

Additionally we ask that you post this event on your website and in social media with a link to our 2014 Symposium page (http://pabotany.org/2014-pa-botany-symposium) if you think it is of value to others beyond your workplace.
Thank you!

This year's symposium promises to be a unique opportunity for anyone interested in, and working with, the botany of Pennsylvania and the region.
We have a full day of speakers planned this year that have been carefully selected to share their expertise on a variety of botanical topics including taxonomy, conservation, ecology, biology, history and floristics. The symposium will take place on Saturday, November 8th and to complement the symposium, we are offering three half-day workshops on plant identification that will take place on Friday afternoon, November 7th preceding the symposium. Join us Friday evening for socializing, networking and reuniting with fellow plant enthusiasts and enjoy a fun, educational, and engaging presentation on the future of botany and botanical education.

Registration, lodging information, directions and more specific information on the schedule of events, can be found on our website at www.<http://pabotany.us9.list-manage.com/track/click?u=911e737860d09ecbe9f2b912f&id=32e1ce2927&e=ed3cddec1b>pabotany.org/2014-pa-botany-symposium/<http://pabotany.us9.list-manage.com/track/click?u=911e737860d09ecbe9f2b912f&id=02e8d10403&e=ed3cddec1b>.
