Volunteers work to bring back native plants

About 50 volunteers recently gathered to help re-establish native prairie
plants in the 960-acre southwest suburban Orland Grassland forest preserve.

"People feel like they're getting so connected when they use their own
hands, take the seed and spread it out, and really help put life back in,"
said site steward Pat Hayes.
