Though the emphasis of the article below was on mammal, birds, and
amphibians, it provides an important backdrop for identifying important
habitats that are also home to precious plant species. For instance,
the Hawaiian
Islands National Wildlife Refuge is mentioned in the study which is home to
at least six endangered plants:
