*Feedback Requested - Certificate of Distinction for the Preparation and
Professional Development of Environmental Educators*

The North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE) has
embarked on an exciting venture and we would like to ask for your
assistance. NAAEE is developing a *Certificate of Distinction for the
Preparation and Professional Development of Environmental Educators*. The
Certificate of Distinction will recognize *distinguished*programs that
*consistently *prepare well–qualified environmental educators who possess
the understanding, skills, and attitudes associated with environmental
literacy, as well as the ability to apply them in their educational
practices. The purpose of the certificate review process is to: a)
encourage and recognize excellence in the preparation and professional
development of environmental educators, and b) facilitate in-depth,
continual assessment and improvement of environmental education preparation
and professional development programs.

We would like input from the field about the development of the *Certificate
of Distinction for the Preparation and Professional Development of
Environmental Educators*. To this end, we invite you to review this draft
application packet and provide feedback. Please review the *Certificate of
Distinction for the Preparation and Professional Development of
Environmental Educators* and then complete the short on-line survey.
