Symposium on Sept. 28-29 at Hickory Point Park, Tavares, Fla. The Symposium
will be held in close partnership with Lake County's inaugural Wings
<http://www.lakecountyfl.gov/bird_watching/wings_and_wildflowers/> &
Wildflowers Festival (Sept. 28-30).

This year's symposium includes wildflower walks and workshops on
photography, starting a small planting from seed, wildflower propagation for
home gardeners, and make-and-take rain barrels. There also will be free
presentations on managing natural lands with fire, gardening with
wildflowers, attracting butterflies with native plants, and getting to know
native bees. Plus, there will be a silent auction and barbecue, with
proceeds supporting native wildflower education, planting and research.

Florida Wildflower Foundation members will receive discounts on symposium
events, workshops and field trips, as well as on many Wings & Wildflowers
