the state of the science at the intersection of climate change,
nursery production, and restoration practices. This position is in
collaboration with scientists at the USDA Forest Service Rocky

native plant producers, and restoration experts in their
decision-making process as they work to ensure continuation of
functional ecosystems. Although primary focus is on synthesis of
science from the literature, opportunities to pursue basic or applied
research are possible.

management, ecology, environmental studies, nursery management,
genetics, biological sciences, or a closely-related field; (2)
demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and orally with accuracy,
brevity, and clarity; (3) demonstrated ability to analyze and
synthesize the literature and distil practical applications and/or
tools; and (4) an ability to work effectively alone and in concert
with a team of university and federal scientists. Although not
required, experience in plant propagation, plant breeding, or
restoration is desired.
