[PCA] GSPC toolkit survey - from BGCI

Dear All,

As you will be aware, the Conference of the Parties to the CBD has requested the Executive Secretary, in collaboration with the Global Partnership for Plant Conservation and other partners and relevant organizations, and subject to the availability of the necessary resources to develop, by 2012, an online version of the toolkit for the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation (GSPC).

With the support from the Governments of Ireland and Spain, BGCI has been commissioned to take the lead in the preparation of the toolkit. Drawing on the outcomes of previous consultations regarding format and content of the toolkit, we have prepared a short on-line survey with the aim of identifying additional contributors and materials for the toolkit.

I would be grateful if you could forward this information and the link to the survey: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/2RQ6XXB to any relevant plant conservation practitioners. Please note that information about the survey has already been sent to GSPC and CBD focal points and  to members of the Global Partnership for Plant Conservation.

The survey consists of 10 questions and should take no more than 10 minutes to complete. It will be open until 04 March, 2011. Broad participation in the survey will be essential for the preparation of a useful GSPC toolkit.
