Job Title: Manager of Conservation Programs
Compensation: $3750.00 per month
Position Type: Full-Time
Job Summary: Coordinates the growth and improvement of Denver Botanic
Gardens' conservation efforts, focusing on the study of the ecology and
demography of rare plant species. Oversees Research Associate and
Research Assistant.
Qualifications: Education/Experience: Master's degree or at least 5 years
experience in the field of botany, conservation biology, ecology,
pollination biology, soil ecology, environmental sciences or related area.
Basic knowledge of botanical nomenclature and plant systematics is
essential. Database design and management, global position systems (GPS),
geographic information systems (GIS), are desirable. Experience acquiring
funding and the management of budgets a plus. Must possess strong
communication skills, both written and spoken, needs excellent time
management skills, and good interpersonal skills. Must have a valid
Colorado driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
