24th Annual Lahr Native Plant Symposium

 US National Arboretum

 

 

This annual symposium seeks to foster the beneficial use and
preservation of native plants and promote a better understanding of our
natural ecosystems. Locally and internationally renowned presenters will
share their current projects and insights from the worlds of eco-savvy
design, horticulture, botany, and habitat conservation. Presenters
include Bill Cullina, Darrel Morrison, Dr. Kim Winters and several
others. Explore topics such as rain gardens, mosses, pollinators, and
nomenclature, and take a tour of the newly renovated Fern Valley Native
Plant Collection. 

Fee includes lunch and early admission to the Native Plant Sale. See the

Friends of the National Arboretum Native Plant Sale
March 27, 2010

9:30 am - 2:00 pm

This group sale features regional nurseries offering an extensive
selection of native plants, and growers will be on hand to offer garden
information. Most vendors accept cash or checks only. Free admission.
