Garden forced to charge fee after 58 years

CLAREMONT - Since moving here in 1951, the Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden 
has had free admission.

Starting March 29, that will no longer be the case.

The 86-acre California native plant garden with more than 200 volunteers 
has been forced to charge customers because of the dire straits of the 
economy.
