This year's symposium explores the many ways that native plants are
essential to successful garden design and landscape architecture. Speakers
will present a variety of topics related to the use of native plants in
designed landscapes. Fee: $85 ($68 FONA members). Fee includes lunch and
early admission (8:30 am) to the Native Plant Sale. Registration required.

  The annual Friends of the National Arboretum Native Plant Sale features a
collection of local native plant nurseries offering an extensive selection
   of plants. Experienced growers will be present to offer expert advice.
