Greenery emerges after October blazes, but it's likely non-native plants

Emerald hillsides that were recently scarred by wildfire look like an 
uplifting reminder of nature's resiliency. But looks can be deceiving.

Ecologists say it's too early to tell how well native plant communities as 
a whole will rebound after October's fires. The initial signs are mixed.
