The Division of Scientific Authority (DSA) announces a vacancy for a 
Biologist position in Arlington, VA (GS-0401-12/13, Full-Time Permanent). 

The incumbent serves as a staff specialist in the Division of Scientific 
Authority.  The Division is responsible for scientific evaluations and 
recommendations of the Service pursuant to the Convention on International 
Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), the 
Endangered Species Act (ESA), the Wild Bird Conservation Act (WBCA), and 
related statutes.  The incumbent serves as an expert advisor on a range of 
biological issues related to the international trade in animal and plant 
species and provides technical assistance and advice, as appropriate, to a 
variety of sources, both within and outside the Service, on matters 
relating to the conservation of species of animals and plants subject to 
international trade.
