Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden names new director
The garden has a new executive director, but he is a familiar face. Carl 
Lewis, a fixture at the garden since 2000, took over this week after 
receiving a unanimous vote from the board of trustees.

There's a new top man at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden -- but he's not 
new to the place.

Carl Lewis -- who has served in different capacities at the Garden for 
almost a decade -- was named executive director of the garden in a 
unanimous vote by the members of Fairchild's Board of Trustees earlier 
this month.
